Holiday Design

I am kind of obsessed with design around the holiday.  By this I mean, I love the decorated window displays and the lookbooks different stores come up with. 

One of my most favorite is Gap, the holiday collection displayed on their website is amazing. I am a sucker for white.  I ended up buying E two different hats from the winter collection this year.  If I had a girl I would have splurged on the white boots and furry coat.

Another favorite is Anthropologie.  The stores do a great job with display.  Here is a window display from Wayne, PA

I think this year Ethan and I should put up a white tree.  Not only is it the trend this holiday season, but I love the crispness.  I want to incorporate this into E's Christmas photo this year, too bad there's no snow yet.

M.I.A.

I have been a little M.I.A. as E has become a kindergartener and I have decided to get a new job and still go to school. Come December, I will be working somewhere new and E will be in school full-day. He is more than excited to start eating lunch at school. He is off this week for the holiday and of course has come down with some kind of cold virus (there goes anything fun we had planned). I also work DAT at 11:30pm again this year, but it does mean I am off by 4am, so I won't miss some of the sales!


Things we are excited about: Thanksgiving!, E lost his 4th tooth (the tooth fairy is going broke), an A on my midterm, a Packer's win

80's in May

We had some 80 degree weather so we spent it outside in the sprinkler.

I got my first Birchbox, will do a review.  Not as great as I hoped. Boo.

School's Out!

I finished yesterday and Ethan has 3 more weeks!  Can't wait to enjoy the summer weather.  It's finally in the 70s.

Life Update

You don't realize how often you use your Shift key until it starts sticking.  Jeez.  Instead of doing homework on Tuesday I took Ethan out to enjoy the weather.  Here is what we did:

I love hanging out with him; he's so cute. 

I realized today I have about 2.5-3 years left of school and then I will be done!  I can't believe I will finally have a bachelor's degree.  Once Ethan starts 1st grade it will be a little easier to take classes since we can be in school the same hours.  My advice: do not stop going to school.  I took almost a 5 year break in between the first and second time I went to college and that is my biggest regret.  At least I will graduate before I am 30, I hope!  This semester will be over in 3 weeks and I will have a summer break, thank God.

I am planning Ethan's 5th birthday party.  I can't believe he will be 5!  He wants a Mario and Angry Birds birthday party.  We compromised and selected Mario.  Let the planning begin!

My Target Addiction

I have a serious addiction to Target.  I mean it's bad, Red Card obsessed bad.  I love this two-piece swim suit from Target.  At only $14.99 how can you pass it up?  Too bad it's sold out.  I can only hope it comes back in stock ASAP.

Friday!

I am so sick of this dreary weather that has plagued us all week.  It's also my one day off and it's so cold and yucky. 

I am in love with the Ciate Caviar Manicure so I will be purchasing another soon!

I did do a maternity shoot this afternoon.

Today is the day!  Sephora.com gets Ciate polishes.  Hurry up and post them in stock because I need it.  I love the caviar manicure.  Downside, only lasts 48 hours. Boo!

I need a yellow cardigan and I think I have settled for this one.  To buy or not to buy?

I have become obsessed with mustard yellow and I have the perfect navy blue dress to wear with it.  At $34.99 you would think I would snap it up.  I'm a if-you-can't-buy-it-at-Target-don't-get-it type of person.

Awaiting the Coveted Birchbox

I feel like I have been awaiting the coveted Birchbox for an eternity.  I signed up to join a few months ago and have been daydreaming of what would come my way.  Since I work in the "beauty business" I feel like this is a neccessity.  If you don't know what Birchbox is prepare to be amazed.  Birchbox sends out a handful of deluxe beauty samples once a month to it's members for $10.  It is usually the latest and greatest.  If you decide you love the sample and have to buy the full product you can do that through Birchbox as well. It's a great way to test what's out there without making a full commitment.  This is totally me.  I hate making a commitment.  I don't think I've used a full tube of lipstick or a full bottle of hair product ever.  Hopefully soon I will get to experience Birchbox.  Cross your fingers.
